In ancient times,the education was imparted in Gurukuls,
where the children of Royal family and commoners stayed
and studied together.The students used to returnt to their places
 after  completing their education there.
 Once, a prince of Royal family and a son of a saint were
getting their education,with other children in Gurukul.They studied
 together and attended to various other activities.After completing
 there education in Gurukul,the day of departure came and they
felt very sad.They decided to meet, on every evening,at an appointed
place. The Prime Minister of the country came to the Gurukul to
pick up the prince and took him to  his kingdom.
As decided, the prince and his friend used to meet at the appointed
place every day.One day,after their meeting, the prince left for for his
 palace and the saint's son for his asharam,where he was staying.In
the way his one foot fell on a bush, full of thorns and there was profused
 bleeding.The boy started crying and he felt very frustrated on his bad luck.
He felt that his friend prince was enjoying life,going for hunting,shooting and
attending to the royal functions, wherein he was staying in ashram,
doing meditation and perfoming various difficult duties.And thereafter,
he met with severe accident of his foot bleeding.He narrated all his
frustration to his Guruji, cursing his bad luck.
Guru ji said,"'O'My boy,The prince was to become Chakravari King,
that is king of Kings,but because of his activities of hunting,killing and
other ill activities, he will remain a king only while you were to be hanged
 for your past deed.This is all because of your leading a religious life
 meditation and goodness that your crimes have been mitigated to a
prick of thorn."
"Don't compare yourself to the prince or with others and continue your
religious activities,so as to get God-Realization which is highest than
the Rule of Kingdom."said the saint.
