"No salvation can be achieved without 'Deeksha'or Guru ji's grace, that is insertion of his soul element into the soul of his disciple
or devotee by 'Shakti Pat.This is similar to the fact tha no plantation can  grow or be fruitful without a seed."
" Some people believe that there is no need of a Guru or a guide to achieve spiritual progress that ones's own intution is suffcient to guide oneself.Others feel the necessity of a Guru for guiding them towards salvation."
He further illustrated this point by giving  an example of a bird trapped in a room with a small window." The bird may,inspite of its best efforts,does not find a way out. It may strike here,and there, against the wall,and may possibly die of despiration.If somebody guides the bird towards the window with the help of a piece of cloth tied to a stick,it would escape easily."
He gave another example of a villager who wants to go to another village,but does not know the way. He requires a guide who
may lead him to that village,or tell him the route.He may have to waste a lot of time in absence of a guide and he may still not reach his destination."
As such, a SatGuru is essential for achieving salvation.This will reduce his endeavour and time for reaching his destination.
