Should a devotee request God for materialistic requirements?

" It is not advisable to request God ( for materialistic requirements ),as once asked,He will provide you with what you  asked for. However, if you do not ask, He may give you even more than what you asked for.As an example, if you request
Him for a shirt, You may get a shirt only,however,he may be planning to give you a suite as well.The choice is yours.If at all you must ask, you must ask for 'Sad Buddhi, that is wisdom which will ever be helpful in all your endeavours....Maharaj Sri Krishna...
